About

Most people who make music are not engineers.

They can hear that something is wrong. They cannot always name it, and they should not have to learn what a de-esser is before their song sounds finished.

Why dhun exists

dhun started as a digital audio workstation — a real one, with a timeline, insert chains and automation. It worked. It was also, within a few months, far too complicated for the people it was supposed to help. Someone with a voice memo and a good idea does not want a mixing console. They want the thing that is wrong to stop being wrong.

So the product turned around. The engine we had built stayed — stem separation, mastering, pitch correction, ninety-two plugins, a full render pipeline — but the interface became a conversation. You say what you want; the producer picks the tools and does the work. The editor is still there, and now it is optional.

That is the whole idea: the expertise should be in the software, not required of the user.

What we hold to

We take no rights in your music

No cut, no publishing share, no licence to your masters. Running a compressor on your song does not entitle us to it. This is the one thing we will never quietly change in an update to the terms.

The limit is a number, not a clock

The free plan is one song, three stem splits, one master, twenty replies. It does not expire in seven days and then lock you out mid-project. You use it up when you use it up.

We tell you what it did

When the producer changes something it says what and why — "the guitars were masking the vocal between 2 and 4 kHz" — rather than handing back a file and a shrug. You should be able to learn from it, not just depend on it.

We do not overstate what AI ownership means

For audio you upload, the result is yours. For audio generated from a prompt, copyright is genuinely unsettled and we say so instead of promising you own something we cannot guarantee.

Who makes it

dhun is built by Nyza Creations LLC, a small independent company in Washington State. It is not our only product — we also build a learning platform, a news product, a shopping editor and a few games — but it is the one for people who make music.
