Data Deletion
How to delete your account and your data, what goes, and what we have to keep.

Deleting your account
In the app, open Account and choose to delete your account. In the mobile apps the same control is on the Account tab. You do not need to email us or wait for a reply.
Deletion is not instant, on purpose. Your account is marked for deletion, you are signed out immediately, and it is removed permanently within 30 days.
You have 30 days to change your mind
Signing back in during that window cancels the deletion and restores your account exactly as it was. Nothing is lost.
We send an email when a deletion is requested, so an accidental tap — or someone else using your device — cannot silently destroy your work.
After 30 days it is permanent. We cannot restore an account or its audio once the window has passed; there is no hidden copy.
What is deleted
Your account and profile, your projects and chat history with the producer, every audio file you uploaded or generated, your stems, renders and exports, and your usage records.
What we keep, and why
Transaction records, for as long as tax and accounting law requires us to hold them. These are records of payments, not of your music.
If you subscribed through Apple or Google, the subscription itself lives with them. Deleting your dhun account does not cancel it — cancel it in the store as well, or you will keep being charged for an account that no longer exists.
Backups are retained on a rolling schedule and are overwritten in the ordinary course. Deleted data can persist in a backup for a short period after the account is gone; it is not accessible in the product and is not used for anything.
Deleting individual work without deleting the account
Deleting a project deletes its files. You do not have to delete your whole account to remove one song.
If you cannot sign in
Email support@dhun.io from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. We may need to verify that it is yours before we act — that check protects you, not us.
